Also free to enjoy, head to Home of the Arts for Dancing on the Green: a 2-hour morning concert featuring live local musicians and bands performing at The Outdoor Stage. Settle down on the lawn with the kids or dance like there’s no tomorrow - Dancing on the Green will take place on April 5.
For four days in Surfers Paradise, witness the streets come alive with spectacular street entertainment for this year’s Australian Street Entertainment Carnival. Expect all kinds of street performance and talent, along with an incredible family-friendly atmosphere over the Easter weekend lasting April 10 to April 13.
Back for 2020 with another explosive program of outdoor movie screenings, red carpet events, trivia nights, kids’ workshops and movie location tours, Gold Coast Film Festival is not to be missed for families who love movies! Across the 12-day program, look out for SIPFest on Surfers Paradise Beach, Floating Cinema at HOTA and the Festival of Film, Music and Dance in Surfers Paradise - the full event to take place April 15 to April 26.
Visit the huge Carrara Markets near Broadbeach this April for Collectarama: a brand new market fair that will feature all things retro, rare, unique and highly collectable! Spread over two days, this must-attend event will have it all, from action figures, memorabilia and trading cards to vinyl records, antiques and vintage fashion.
